Maui
Limited-edition color schemes and bold designs highlight this week’s peek at the latest gear.
In the wake of the devastating wildfires that swept across Maui and the historic town of Lahaina, many mainlanders are wondering what they can do to help.
The quickest way is to donate directly to the Maui Strong Fund, part of the Hawai’i Community Foundation, which is helping coordinate and manage relief funds and donations.
Another way is to purchase a made-to-order 37.5 Summit Aero Mesh bike jersey, a collaboration between Pactimo and local Maui artist Welzie. These special-edition jerseys sport a special “Love Maui Love” message, retail for $125, and — with $60 from every sale going to relief efforts — benefit both the Maui Strong Fund and two local bike shops destroyed in the fire: Maui Sunriders Bike Shop and West Maui Cycles.
Drawing from the brutal beauty of urban architecture, the Maurice Lacroix AIKON Skeleton Urban Tribe watch combines metal, glass, and negative space together to create a timepiece that’s both formidable and — in places — wide open. Like the windows of a skyscraper, this timepiece “plays with transparency” to show off the exclusive Automatic ML135 movement within.
Sapphire glass, a 39mm stainless steel case, and Super-LumiNova hour and minute hands construct the watch’s face. And the integrated bracelet carries intricate, laser-engraved patterns the brand says were “inspired by the concrete, glass, and steel structures which have come to define the avenues and boulevards populating the world’s most vibrant cities.”
Stay warm, dry, and scent-free with your feet tucked snugly in a 3.5mm neoprene boot, wrapped in hand-laid rubber. LaCrosse’s Alpha Evolution hunting boots — women’s and men’s — are made in the USA (with imported materials) and employ a host of performance technologies. These include Vibram Traction Lugs with IceTrek compound on the soles, aerogel in the toe cap, Primaloft Gold insulation throughout, and Sitka’s OPTIFADE Elevated II camo design.

Do you feel like the world of home pizza-making has left you behind? Fear not! Solo Stove just launched the Pi Prime, the most budget-friendly, accessible, easy-to-use portable pizza oven we’ve ever tested.
The Pi Prime sets up in less than 5 minutes, runs off propane gas, and, at peak 950-degree heat, can churn out a baked pizza in as little as 90 seconds (“30 minutes or less” can take a hike!). Plus, at 30 pounds and a height of 15.5 inches, this pie prepper can easily fit in a car with the rest of your camp gear.
Grab one now at Solo Stove and read our full review to learn more.
Cotopaxi built a reputation on creative color combinations and bold, unique designs (among other things). But how do you mix it up when your aesthetic is already about being mixed up?
Meet the Monochromatic Collection — a limited-edition run of Del Dia packs in “Warm,” “Cool,” and “Dark” color schemes. These special color palettes grace the 16L Batac backpacks and 1.5L Kapai hip packs. Decide on your vibe quick, because once these are gone, they’re gone.
Let’s face it, if you’re a pet parent, you’ll take any excuse to show anyone your library of furball photos. Save yourself the trouble (and everyone else the time) by printing your pet’s picture on some custom Chaco sandals.
Of course, you can put any images you want on a pair of sandals through the brand’s MyChaco program. But with National Dog Day fast approaching (Aug. 26), you might as well get in the spirit and add fido to your Z/2s.
What’s more, now through Aug. 27, for every pair of custom sandals sold, Chaco will donate a collar to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Additionally, anyone who makes a custom sandal purchase will also get a pet collar — at 30% off.
Just when you thought the world had hit its peak in terms of coolers, ICEMULE finds a new place to put one: on your handlebars! The Impulse does double duty, with handlebar straps to carry on your bike or a removable shoulder strap to sling cross-body.
You can pack three cans with ice in the Impulse (we confirmed in testing) — so maybe buy one for your bestie and you can both carry a full six-pack on your next bike adventure! The Impulse comes in three designs: gray, turquoise, and the eclectic Devoe 3.0, courtesy of artist Claire Devoe.
Minimum (impact) is in right now, and negative is a positive with EVERGOODS blank UNDYED Collection. The 3.5L hip pack, and 1L and 2L pouches, skip the typical water-intensive dyeing process. This leaves these EDC packs with an understated, modern, and (most importantly) eco-conscious aesthetic.
A joint venture of GORUCK co-founder Jack Barley and Kevin Dee, former member of Patagonia’s advanced R&D team, EVERGOODS backs everything it makes with a lifetime warranty and designs and tests all gear at its headquarters in Bozeman, Mont.
